Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Regional Development, Construction, and Communal Living Hennadii Zubko says none of the children has been hurt, Censor.NET reports citing Interfax-Ukraine.
"I have been told about the collapse of the main wall. According to preliminary data, nobody has been hurt: they did a roll call, all the children seem to be in place," Zubko said on the sidelines of the Ukrainian-German business forum in Kyiv on Tuesday.
The official said he had to urgently leave for the scene and went out.
As the Kyiv region State Emergency Service press office told Censor.NET, the collapse occurred in a detached building that is currently out of use.
The incident was further reported by Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman on Twitter. According to him, no one has suffered as a result of the collapse, while a government representative has left for the scene.
Meanwhile, Radical Party MP Ihor Mosiichuk has posted photos on Facebook showing a collapsed wall of the school itself, not of the detached building.
