 Ukraine-EU summit might take place in Brussels Nov. 24, - Foreign Ministry

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed that the Ukraine-EU summit might be held in Brussels (Belgium) Nov. 24.

Censor.NET reports citing the Foreign Ministry's response to a request filed by Ukrainski Novyny news agency.

"The possibility to hold the eighteenth Ukraine-European Union summit in Brussels on Nov. 24 is being currently considered," the statement reads.

It is also reported that the summit's main objective is to provide efficient support for Ukraine by the EU in terms of countering the Russian aggression by extending sanctions until the full implementation of the arrangements reached in Minsk (Belarus).

It is emphasized that the summit should become an important platform for addressing the issue of Ukraine-EU Association Agreement ratification process completion, identifying priorities in the implementation of the systemic sociopolitical and socio-economic reforms stipulated by the agreement, and ensure further deepening of Ukraine's trade-economic and industrial integration into the EU.

Earlier, Ukraine-EU summit was scheduled for May 19 but was postponed by mutual agreement of the parties.
