This was announced by deputy head of the PPB faction MP Oleksii Honcharenko on the sidelines of the parliament, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrinform.
"I can understand the emotions behind this step - to demonstrate something to Putin. But Putin will not be affected by it, while millions of Ukrainians will get hurt. This is why we need to think of Ukrainian citizens first, not of some political PR," the MP said.
Honcharenko said this was the reason behind the faction's decision not to support the introduction of visa regime with the Russian Federation. He said the government's stance should also be included in the final decision. According to the MP, Ukraine's foreign minister's position is that "this is not right and we are not prepared."
