Comrades of Myroslav Mysla, the 93rd Separate Mechanized Brigade (OMB) fighter killed near Krymske, the Luhansk region on Oct. 2, say he was a natural born warrior and died like a true soldier.

Despite the fact the soldiers of the 93rd OMB strictly observe the cease-fire and have kept their guns silent for more than a month now, paramilitary groups boldly and cynically violated the Minsk agreements on Oct. 2, which led to a tragic outcome, they wrote.

"A group of terrorists came close to Ukrainian positions and opened small arms fire. As a result, Lt. Myroslav Mysla, the commander of a mechanized platoon, was fatally injured. After that, militants unleashed a four-hour attack on Ukrainian defenders, using 82 mm and 120 mm mortars, automatic grenade launchers and RPGs, heavy machine guns. Ukrainian soldiers did not return fire," the statement reads.

Representatives of the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of issues related to the cease-fire regime and the stabilization of the situation counted more than 120 craters left by 82 mm shells and 13 craters left by 120 mm shells.
