 PPB to decide on introduction of visas for Russians after relevant consultation with Foreign Ministry, - Faction Head Hryniv

Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction MPs will make up their minds regarding the abolition of the visa-free regime between Russia and Ukraine after they hold the appropriate consultations with the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine.

Petro Poroshenko Bloc (PPB) parliamentary faction Chairman Ihor Hryniv told reporters on the sidelines of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

"We will consider this issue. I am positive about it. We are going to consult with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will make a decision after our position is coordinated with the Foreign Ministry," he explained.

As reported, on Oct. 3, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrii Parubii said he did not rule out a possibility of considering the issue of the visa regime introduction for Russians travelling to Ukraine. According to him, there are a sufficient number of votes for the introduction of visas for Russians willing to travel to Ukraine. The speaker said that the relevant voting in the parliament might take place as early as Oct. 6. The People's Front faction also voiced support for visa regime introduction for the Russian citizens.
