 Rada to dismiss judges-oathbreakers on Sept. 29

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is going to hold an extraordinary meeting to dismiss judges who violated the oath Sept. 29.

The corresponding decree was signed by Verkhovna Rada Chairman Andrii Parubii on Tuesday, Censor.NET reports citing the press office of the parliament.

The meeting is scheduled for 10 p.m. Sept. 29. The only issue on its agenda will be the dismissal of judges who violated the oath.

Earlier on Tuesday, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called on the parliament to convene an extraordinary meeting.

According to article 83 of the Constitution of Ukraine, the speaker shall convene an extraordinary session at the request of the president or at the request of no less than one third of the MPs of the constitutional composition of the parliament.
