The ATO Staff press center also stressed: "The Armed Forces of Ukraine welcome political efforts aimed at sustainable resolution of the conflict in Ukraine's east as well as withdrawal of the Russian occupation troops from the Donbas. According to the Minsk agreements, the withdrawal of forces and hardware from the areas near Stanytsia Luhanska, Zolote, and Petrivske in the Donetsk region is only possible after sustainable cease-fire.

"This process is very complex and involves certain steps the implementation of which must be recorded and verified by the OSCE representatives. It is worth noting that the Armed Forces of Ukraine are not going to leave the key positions in these areas and will be able to promptly redeploy troops to the previous positions in the event of escalation.
