Polonskyi said the Decree stipulates for dismissal of mobilized soldiers who were drafted in 2015 during the so-called sixth wave of mobilization (presidential decree No.15 dated Jan. 14, 2015). About 20,000 military will be dismissed, Polonskyi said.

The discharge will be conducted in stages in order to prevent military units from losing their combat capability and to allow them to gradually transfer their positions and military equipment.

The dismissal will launch as soon as the Decree is published and comes into force. Most of the drafted sixth-wavers will return home in October 2016. The discharged military will be included into the military reserves, Polonskyi said.
