Ukrainian troops strictly observe cease-fire, - Muzhenko

Ukrainian soldiers follow the truce despite constant militants’ attacks in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.

Chief of Ukraine's General Staff Viktor Muzhenko declared during a meeting with the OSCE SMM Principal Deputy Chief Monitor Alexander Hug, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the Defense Ministry.

"Ukrainian Armed Forces welcome any political efforts aimed to settle the conflict in the east of Ukraine and to withdraw Russian occupation forces from the Donbas. However, the withdrawal of troops and heavy weapons from the demarcation line is possible only if a sustainable cease-fire is observed. Ukrainian troops strictly follow the truce, but the enemy fires at us from mortars and small arms, sending sabotage and reconnaissance groups to attack Ukrainian soldiers," Muzhenko said.
