This was announced by former U.S. Secretary of Defense Leon Panetta in an interview with LIGA.net., Censor.NET reports.
If for some reason the Ukrainian government fails to fight corruption and enhance the state's governability, and Ukrainian leaders fail to cooperate with each other with the purpose of defending the country, all of this will compromise relations not only with the U.S., but also with the entire West, Panetta said.
Former U.S. Defense chief stressed that Ukraine should do its best to implement all the reforms and improve the situation in the security and defense sector. He reiterated that the U.S. want to see Ukraine strong and independent, with good economy and an army capable to defend itself.
