Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the SBU.
Volodymyr Zhemchuhov and the UN official representative in Donetsk city Yurii Suprun were taken to the Kyiv-controlled territory.
"They have reached the Ukrainian territory and will receive all necessary medical assistance," the statement reads.
According to the head of the SBU Vasyl Hrytsak, liberation of Ukrainian prisoners remains one of the top priorities of the SBU.
Earlier, President Petro Poroshenko confirmed the release of Yurii Suprun and Volodymyr Zhemchuhov from the militants' captivity.
Zhemchuhov was held captive by the militants since fall of 2015. Apprehension of Suprun, personal representative of the UN in Donetsk, was announced on April 13.
