Ukraine's National Bank Head Valeriia Hontarieva expects the next IMF tranche to be $1.3 billion, Censor.NET reports. She announced it at a press conference that was broadcast on the NBU's official Youtube channel.
"We expect this tranche to be $1.3 billion. We hope they [IMF mission - ed.] will visit us very soon. I can not say when. They sent me a text message at 2 a.m. to say Ukraine had received the tranche. Their working day has not yet begun, hence we did not speak about their next mission," Honatrieva noted.
"The basic requirements are: a balanced budget for the next year. The NBU's task is to continue the recapitalization of the banking sector. The National Commission for Regulation of Financial Services should be divided: some of its powers will be taken over by the NBU, and the rest will go to the Securities and Stock Market State Commission. We don't feel that something is wrong. We just go down this path, and we know what to do," the official concluded.
