 Agreement on disengagement in Donbas may be signed next week, French Foreign Minister Ayrault says

French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault hopes an agreement on troops’ withdrawal in the Donbas will be signed next week (Sept. 19-25).

He said at a joint briefing with Foreign Ministers of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Censor.NET reports referring to Ukrainski Novyny.

According to Mr. Ayrault, the important step capable to consolidate the achievements of cease-fire and give certain hope for holding the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve the situation in the Donbas will be made next week. He clarified he was talking about the signing of an agreement on disengagement in three pilot areas.

The diplomat stressed that he expected the parties to make every effort to implement all necessary security measures.
