 Russian proxies mortared Luhanske and Butivka mine, - Staff

The Russian occupation forces continued inviting the Ukrainian troops’ retaliation by committing attacks on their positions with large-caliber machine guns, grenade launchers, and small arms. The invaders also frequently used 82 mm and 120 mm mortars. Moreover, the enemy employed artillery prohibited by the Minsk agreements. The Armed Forces of Ukraine do not succumb to provocations and strictly observed the Minsk accords.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.

The latest update reads: "The Russian occupation forces violated the silence regime along the line of contact 21 times from midnight to 6 p.m. today.

"In particular, the enemy assaulted the Ukrainian defenders' positions in Avdiivka, Verkhniotoretske, Zaitseve, and Luhanske at Donetsk direction with grenade launchers, machine guns and small arms. In addition, Luhanske village and Butivka mine were shelled by the occupants with 82 mm and 120 mm mortars. It should also be noted that the enemy sniper groups attacked the ATO forces' detachments deployed near Avdiivka and Verkhniotoretske to exert moral coercion on the Ukrainian servicemen.

"At Luhansk section of the front, the enemy resorted to armed provocations in the vicinity of Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka using grenade launchers, machine guns, and small arms.

"The Russian occupation forces committed armed provocations in Shyrokyne at Mariupol direction using infantry fighting vehicles and grenade launchers."
