Ukrainian delegation to PACE ready to undertake demarche, - MP Ariev

Ukrainian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) is ready to undertake demarche against Russian delegation’s participation in the Assembly’s activity.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was said by Head of the Ukrainian delegation, MP Volodymyr Ariev on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"We are definitely ready. If Russia's votes for resolutions on democracy, human rights, and the rule of law are counted, what will be the point of such resolutions? It makes no sense if the aggressor state violating every possible international norms and principles of the organization will take part in the vote for these very norms and principles. We do not want to take part in it and the delegations of other countries share the same stance. The Assembly will just discredit itself and there will be no sense to continue its work then," Ariev stressed.
