As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin in an interview to Welt.
"We have set a goal to reach those standards in 2020," he said, as translated from the interview German.
"It should be noted that the Russian hybrid war against Ukraine has significantly increased the level of support for NATO accession. Three years ago, about 19 percent of Ukrainians supported the accession, and today they are 60 percent," the diplomat said.
"Anyway, NATO is the only alliance for us that has the same values as we do," the head of the Foreign Ministry added.
Earlier, President Petro Poroshenko announced that NATO accession remained the strategic goal of Ukraine.
