Ukrainian soldiers apprehended a drunk militant from Moscow in Toretsk, the Donetsk region, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainska Pravda.
Presidential Administration spokesman on anti-terrorist operation (ATO) issues Colonel Oleksandr Motuzianyk said at a briefing on Sept. 11, Censor.NET reports.
"It has been established that the prisoner is a veteran of the Chechen wars of neo-Nazi views, as evidenced by his tattoos (a portrait of the Nazi henchmen Ataman Shkuro and 14-88 figures)," he said.
The prisoner arrived to fight in the Donbas at the beginning of 2015 "because of the devastating impact of Russian propaganda on his mind."
"He participated in the Battle for Debaltseve and was transferred to Horlivka later. He said that his battalion commander and brigade commander are Russian officers as well. We started investigating the case," Motuzianyk said.
