 Shyrokyne hit by 120, 80 mm mortars, - ATO press center

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area remains under control. From midnight till 6 p.m. of Sept. 9, 2016, 12 cease-fire violations by paramilitary groups were recorded along the entire contact line.

Censor.NET reports referring to the ATO press center.

"In particular, in the vicinity of Mariupol, six cease-fire violations were registered. Militants used 120 mm and 82 mm mortars to shell Shyrokyne, while Marinka came under grenade launcher and small arms attack.

"Five cease-fire violations were recorded in the Luhansk region. The enemy delivered harassing fire on Novooleksandrivka, using machine guns, small arms and automatic grenade launchers. In addition, sniper activity was registered in the area.

"One cease-fire violation was recorded in the vicinity of Donetsk. An armed provocation was carried out against Ukrainian positions outside Avdiivka as militants used grenade launchers and small arms.

"Four passes of enemy drones had also been registered as of 6 p.m.

"Despite all the provocations, the Ukrainian military unswervingly adhere to the Minsk agreements," the evening report notes.
