 Russian-backed militants attacked Ukrainian troops 24 times yesterday, shelled Shyrokyne, Talakivka, and Vodiane with 120 mm and 82 mm mortars, - Staff

The Russian occupation forces continue committing provocative attacks despite the cease-fire deal.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center as at 6 a.m. Sept. 9.

The Russian invaders opened fire on positions of the Ukrainian servicemen 24 times over the past day. 11 attacks were recorded at Mariupol, seven - at Donetsk, and six - at Luhansk direction.

"The militants shelled Shyrokyne, Talakivka, and Vodiane at Mariupol direction with 120 mm and 82 mm mortars.

"The Russian occupation forces conducted provocative attacks on the outskirts of Avdiivka, Verkhniotoretske, and Novhorodske at Donetsk direction using machine guns, small arms, and grenade launchers.

"The militants fired at Novooleksandrivka and Novozvanivka at Luhansk direction with small arms, machine guns and grenade launchers. Besides, positions of Ukrainian soldiers near Popasna and Novooleksandrivka were attacked by a sniper," the report reads.

It was also noted that eight flights of the enemy UAVs were recorded in the ATO area yesterday.

"The Armed Forces of Ukraine strictly observe the Minsk agreements despite the militants' attempts to invite their retaliation," the ATO Staff press center stressed.
