 Militants used mortars against positions outside Talakivka, Vodiane, - ATO press center

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area is under control and characterized by single armed provocations on the part of Russian hybrid forces. From midnight till 6 p.m. of Sept. 8, 2016, 11 cease-fire violations by paramilitary groups were recorded along the entire contact line.

Censor.NET reports referring to the ATO press center.

"In the vicinity of Mariupol, the situation was restless outside Shyrokyne and Novotroitske, where militants used grenade launchers and machine guns. Talakivka and Vodiane were hit with 120 mm and 82 mm mortars. Marinka came under sniper fire.

"In the Luhansk region, the enemy used machine guns, small arms and automatic grenade launchers to deliver harassing fire outside Novozvanivka and Novooleksandrivka.

"In the area of Donetsk, the enemy committed armed provocations against our positions in Verkhniotoretske.

"Occupants also used heavy machine guns there, while Avdiivka was hit with automatic grenade launchers.

"Despite all the provocations, the Ukrainian military unswervingly adhere to the Minsk agreements," the evening report notes.
