Many media in Ukraine stealthily owned by Yanukovych's associates, - NTRBC Chairman Artemenko

There are a lot of TV stations in Ukraine owned indirectly, directly or implicitly by people who were or still are part of ex-President Viktor Yanukovych's inner circle.

Ukraine's National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council Chairman Yurii Artemenko said on air of Espreso.TV, Censor.NET reports.

"We have a lot of TV channels owned indirectly, directly or implicitly by people who were and still are Yanukovych's close associates. At present, some behave as if nothing is happening, some try to manipulate certain messages. But as a media person, I'm sure sooner or later they will wake up and fire the staff that enjoys hyped ratings," he said.

Others will come then and start to "ruin this country explicitly," Artemenko stressed.
