This was reported by Kyiv Patrol Police Chief Yurii Zozulia, Censor.NET informs citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"The police detained about 30 people at the ill-famed construction site in the Sviatoshynskyi district," the TV channel quoted Zozulia as saying.
He also added that pepper sprays were found on some of the detainees during frisk search.
According to the patrol police chief, the law enforcement officers paid attention both to activists and supposed representatives of the developer behind the fence.
The investigation into this situation is underway.
As reported, several people were injured in a mass brawl that took place between local residents and representatives near Kyiv's Sviatoshyn subway station Sept. 5. Later, the residents of the apartment building on 2 Sviatoshynskyi Lane blocked the entrance to the nearby forestry area Sept. 6. According to the activists, the so-called "titushky" hired by the developer captured the courtyard with the cars owned by local residents parked in it on Sept. 5. Subsequently, Sept. 7, the conflict turned into a clash between locals and the representatives of the developer intending to construct a multi-storey building in the parking area. The opposing parties employed stones and flash bang grenades as well as set tires on fire.
