Presidential Administration speaker on ATO matters Oleksandr Motuzianyk announced at a briefing today, Censor.NET reports.
"Unfortunately, one Ukrainian soldier was killed in action over the past 24-hour period. Two Ukrainian soldiers and a police officer were injured," he said.
"The military was killed at Mariupol direction as he tripped an anti-personnel mine rigged by the enemy. Two servicemen received injuries in Avdiivka. One of them was injured in shelling while the other one - a police officer - triggered an explosive device. One Ukrainian soldier was injured in a mortar strike that impacted the outskirts of Shyrokyne village," Motuzianyk clarified the casualties report.
Earlier, the National Security and Defense Council reported 10,000 Ukrainians had been killed and 20,000 more injured over the past two years as a result of hostilities in the country's east.
