 Judge Chaus suspected of corruption is now in occupied Crimea, SAP’s Kholodnytskyi says

Judge of the Dniprovskyi district court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus suspected of corruption is currently in occupied Crimea.

As reported by Censor.NET referring to journalist Serhii Andrushko, this was said by Head of Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) Nazar Kholodnytskyi at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Legal Policy and Justice.

"The Committee on Legal Policy has just unanimously voted for stripping Judge Chaus of immunity," Andrushko added.

Earlier, NABU detectives nabbed Judge of the Dniprovskyi district court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus who was extorting and obtained an unlawful benefit in the amount of $150,000.

Chaus previously tried Euromaidan activists, convicted former leader of UKROP party Hennadii Korban, and made judgments in favor of Yanukovych's ally Yurii Ivaniushchenko also known in criminal world as Yura Yenakievskyi.
