 Cease-fire generally observed: Russian terrorists fired at Ukrainian Armed Forces’ positions 21 times over past day, - Staff

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) zone is under control as the truce is generally observed apart from several armed provocations committed by the Russian occupation forces.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated in the situation report by the ATO Staff press center as at 6 a.m. Sept. 6.

According to the Staff, the Russian-occupation forces opened fire on positions of the Ukrainian detachments 21 times over the past 24 hours: six attacks were recorded at Mariupol, 13 - at Donetsk and two - at Luhansk direction.

"At Donetsk direction, the enemy committed provocative attacks near Luhanske and Avdiivka using machine guns, small arms, and grenade launchers.

"The attacks were also recorded at the section of the front between Shyrokyne and Talakivka at Mariupol direction where the terrorists employed 120 mm and 82 mm mortars. The enemy also used sniper weapons and small arms in the vicinity of Shyrokyne.

"The militants fired at Stanytsia Luhanska and Novozvanivka at Luhansk direction with grenade launchers, machine guns, and small arms. In addition, snipers attacked the Ukrainian defenders in Stanytsia Luhanska," the report reads.

It was also reported that five enemy UAVs were spotted flying over Ukrainian troops at Donetsk and Mariupol directions.

According to the Staff, the Armed Forces of Ukraine consistently follow the Minsk agreements despite militants' attempts to invite retaliation.
