Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center as at 6 a.m. Sept. 5.
According to the Staff, 13 attacks were recorded at Mariupol, six - at Donetsk, and one - at Luhansk direction.
"The Russian occupation troops committed provocative attacks in Verkhniotoretske village at Donetsk direction with high-caliber machine guns and small arms. The ATO forces' positions near Avdiivka and Yasynuvata were fired at with grenade launchers and small arms. Avdiivka was also shelled with 82 mm mortars. Soldiers in Avdiivka were attacked by snipers while the positions of the Ukrainian troops near Vodiane, Pavlopil, Talakivka, and Marinka were fired at with small arms," the statement reads.
It was reported that the enemy fired at positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Shyrokyne village at Mariupol section of the front with weapons of infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, and small arms at 9 a.m. In addition, sniper attacks were reported near Marinka.
The militants attacked Ukrainian soldiers near Novooleksandrivka village at Luhansk direction with small arms.
Besides, two enemy UAVs were spotted at Mariupol direction. One of them flew towards Vodiane and Kominternove at an altitude of 500 meters while another one flew towards Vodiane and Dzerzhynske at an altitude of 600 meters. The Ukrainian soldiers made no attempts to bring the hostile drones down.
"The truce in the ATO area was generally observed except for rare armed provocations committed by the enemy," the Staff added.
As reported, Russian hybrid forces committed 16 attacks on Ukrainian positions Sept. 3, including nine near Mariupol and seven in the vicinity of Donetsk.
