Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Mykhailo Dovbenko said in a commentary to Segodnya, Censor.NET reports.
"When the IMF mission came in May, members of the Cabinet of Ministers and those MPs who worked with them emphasized that they managed to dissuade the IMF from the idea to oblige Ukraine to increase the retirement age for men up to 63 years. The issue was already resolved in May. I think that knocked the ground from under the feet of the populists, " he said.
In June, Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine Andrii Reva said the government had no plans to raise the retirement age in Ukraine at the moment, but would need to do it in the future.
