 EU foreign ministers to inform their governments on Minsk agreements implementation progress, Mogherini says

Foreign ministers of the EU countries discussed the sanctions against Russia at an informal meeting in Bratislava, Slovakia on Friday.

High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini told a briefing on Friday, Censor.NET reports referring to Interfax-Ukraine.

According to her, there are no major discrepancies as for the previously fashioned stance: lifting of sanctions after full implementation of the Minsk agreements.

Federica Mogherini also noted that the meeting was held for the foreign ministers to report the assessments of the Minsk agreements implementation progress, the political and security situation in the country to their heads of state and governments.

The EU official explained that the heads of state and governments of the European Union will make a decision on sanctions according to these assessments in October 2016.
