E-declaration law contains errors that should be fixed, - Shymkiv

In particular, the law does not provide for authorization and signing of an electronic declaration.

Presidential Administration Deputy Head Dmytro Shymkiv deems it necessary to amend the law on electronic declaration of officials' revenues, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

He said it on air of 5 Channel.

"The law contains technical errors that also need to be fixed... Some technical amendments should be made," he said.

In particular, according to him, the law does not provide for authorization and signing of electronic declarations.

Commenting on the e-declaration system itself, Shymkiv said he had failed to log in as the system does not recognize digital signatures used in the Presidential Administration.

He said the developers promised to help administration employees log in.

Shymkiv also expressed hope he will be able to test the system and submit his declaration in the near future.

As reported, the electronic declaration system of officials' revenues, launched on Sept. 1 after a two-week improvement, does not allow submitting declarations so far.
