As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated in the latest update by the ATO Staff press center as at 6 a.m., Sept. 1.
According to the Staff, 25 attacks were recorded over the past 24-hour period, including 14 near Donetsk, 1 in the Luhansk region and 10 in the vicinity of Mariupol.
As noted, in the area of Donetsk, militants fired 120 mm mortars on Ukrainian positions in Avdiivka. Additionally, Avdiivka was hit with automatic grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Strong points in Verkhniotoretske came under small arms fire.
Terrorists employed automatic grenade launchers and RPGs against Zaitseve where sniper activity was also recorded.
"In the vicinity of Mariupol, militants used small arms in Marinka, Novotroitske, Starohnativka and Bohdanivka. Starohnativka was also struck with 82 mm mortars, while attack on Pavlopil involved automatic grenade launchers. An enemy sniper was active in Shyrokyne where militants also used heavy machine guns and small arms.
"In the Luhansk region, the enemy delivered small arms fire on Stanytsia Luhanska," the report notes.
As previously reported, on Aug. 30, Russian occupation forces committed 75 attacks on ATO positions.
