One Ukrainian soldier was killed, nine received injuries, and two got shell-shocked in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in the east of Ukraine on Aug. 29.

This was announced by ATO spokesperson Andrii Lysenko at a news briefing on Tuesday, Censor.NET reports.

"Over the past day, one Ukrainian soldier was killed in action, nine received injuries. Two our fighters got shell-shocked," Lysenko said.

According to the spokesperson, one soldier was killed, one injured and one shell-shocked at Pavlopil due to shelling. In Avdiivka, three soldiers received injuries in artillery shelling. One fighter got wounded in Opytne due to grenade launcher shelling. One soldier received injuries in Shyrokyne due to shelling, Lysenko said.

"Luhanske - two injured, one shell-shocked. Zaitseve - one injured.

"All of them were injured and shell-shocked due to mortar, artillery, and grenade launcher shelling," Lysenko detailed on locations and circumstances of the casualties.

Earlier, Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council reported about 10,000 Ukrainians killed and more than 20,000 injured by Russian-terrorist troops over the past two years.
