Aftermath of 17 artillery strikes by Russian terrorists on Avdiivka’s residential neighborhood published by observers. PHOTOS

Yesterday, Aug. 23, Avdiivka went through its worst day ever as it came under 17 artillery strikes. Nearly 400 rounds were fired at this town by pro-Russian militants from different types of heavy weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

Censor.NET informs citing the spot report by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.

The report reads: "The militants of the so-called "DPR" employed tanks, 122-mm artillery systems and all types of mortars. It seems that they are trying to literally turn the soil over here. The projectiles were arriving from all directions including Yasynuvata, Mineralne, Yakovlivka, the Donetsk airport, and Spartak.

"The scourge spared no residential neighborhoods either. The private homes on Lermontova and Kolosova (former Kirova) Streets as well as wires and gas pipelines in the residential quarters were damaged. The power and gas supply in many adjacent homes was cut as a result. Fortunately, the shelling caused no casualties.
