"On the first of September, we are launching the special electronic declaration. That was the point which we discussed with Transparency International. In five days you will see that the project will be put in service. Electronic declaration is an effective tool for fighting corruption within the National Anti-Corruption Bureau," Poroshenko said.
Earlier, Head of the EU Delegation in Ukraine Jan Tombinski said that electronic declarations are crucial for a positive decision on visa regime liberalization for Ukraine. According to the diplomat, Ukraine has fulfilled all elements except for this one, which is crucial for a positive decision on visa-free travel for Ukraine.
As previously reported, the State Service of Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine denied the issuance of a certificate of conformity of the integrated information protection system developed for the Unified State Register of declarations of persons authorized to perform functions of the state or local governments. NAPC chief Nataliia Korchak said the e-declaration system would be put in service on Aug. 15 despite its failure to meet necessary data protection requirements.
On Aug. 15, the e-declaration system was put into operation without the above-mentioned certificate of conformity.
