"Time will come we'll clear occupied territories," - Turchynov

The nation's unity is a key to Ukraine's victory in confrontation with the Russian aggressor.

This was announced by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov in an interview to Novoie Vremia magazine, Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the NSDC.

The NSDC Secretary analyzed in detail the events of the modern history of Ukraine since February 2014 and noted that despite the problems and the economic crisis, "we managed to create strong Armed Forces, the National Guard, and law enforcement agencies able to protect the country and stop the advance of the enemy "from east to west".

"Time will come, and we shall clear all the occupied territories", Mr. Turchynov stated.

The NSDC Secretary underlined that the Ukrainian army is one of the strongest in Europe at the moment.

"Our defense industry has provided the Armed Forces with modern weapons despite the immoral blockade of lethal weapons supplies to Ukraine", he said. At the same time, the NSDC Secretary stated that "the threat definitely remains, and there are still lots of problems in the security and defense sector."

"The key to our victory in the confrontation with a powerful and cruel enemy lies not only in modern weapons, professionalism, and heroism of our military servicemen but, above all, in the unity of our nation. That is why the motto of the Maidan is relevant like never before - 'As long as we are united, we are invincible'," Oleksandr Turchynov stated.
