In particular, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in his congratulatory message that 25 years of independence are "only the beginning." Prime Minister Volodymyr Hroisman expressed confidence that the Ukrainians will do their utmost to defend the country's independence. Verkhovna Rada Speaker Andrii Parubii urged the nation to preserve unity, move forward and keep striving for the "European dream."
NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, in turn, stressed that no one can stop the Ukrainians on the way to democracy and freedom. Deputy Prime Minister Ivanna Klympush-Tsyntsadze noted that the "internal identification brings Ukraine home - the united European family." Former Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk encouraged his compatriots to become stronger and wiser with each day and "drive the aggressor from the native land."
