Most Ukrainian politicians oppose operational e-declaration system, - Transparency International

The majority of Ukrainian politicians do not want the online income declaration system to be running.

As reported by Censor.NET, this opinion was voiced by Transparency International senior analyst Yevhen Cherniak on air of Hromadske.TV as he was commenting on forged income declaration of the member of the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption Ruslan Riaboshapka.

"Other political forces take advantage of this as well. For example, the Opposition Bloc has filed a motion to abolish a number of constitutional provisions regarding e-declarations. In fact, the majority of Ukrainian politicians do not want the e-declaration system to be running today," he said.

According to him, it has been confirmed that the forged income declaration of Riaboshapka was not hacked but accessed through a personal account with a valid digital signature. He said that the National Police, in particular its cyber crime unit, should investigate this incident.
