UN Security Council fed up with Russian lies, - Yelchenko

UN Security Council member states are tired of Russia's lies on the Ukrainian issue.

As reported by Censor.NET citing LIGA.net, this was announced by Ukraine's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Volodymyr Yelchenko.

"During eight months of my work with the UN Security Council, all the states have grown tired of this thicket of lies by Russia's permanent representative and his deputies. Whatever issue we raise, their genetic level reaction produces something like "stop bombing the Donbas, stop plaguing Crimea with blockades." But this has no effect anymore and all other countries clearly see the point, and the whole Russian rhetoric is vain," he said.

Yelchenko also noted that before the end of this year, a special preparatory meeting on the issue of hybrid war will be held as part of preparations for Ukraine's presidency in the UN Security Council.

"This issue should be of concern not only for Ukraine as hybrid wars are being fought in other countries - by Russia in Syria... There's a lot to talk about in order to come up with some legal document," Yelchenko added.
