This was announced by deputy prosecutor general of Ukraine Yevhen Yenin in a commentary to Hromadske, Censor.NET reports.
"He attempted to leave Panama and enter Costa Rica. Costa Ricans refused him the entry, and their Panamanian colleagues noted that a so-called 'Interpol red card' is put against his name," he said.
According to Yenin, Kaskiv was detained temporarily. Panamanian law enforcers addressed their Ukrainian counterparts and received their confirmation of the inquiry to extradite Kaskiv.
Yenin has also informed the media that Ukraine has addresses Panama with a request to extradite Kaskiv and is asking for a restrictive measure for him in form of detainment for the period of the consideration of the inquiry.
Earlier, former head of State Investment Agency, set during President Yanukovych's tenure, Vladyslav Kaskiv was apprehended in Panama on Aug. 18.
