President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is going to hand over more than 150 units of military equipment to the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Tuesday, Aug. 23.

Minister of Defense of Ukraine Stepan Poltorak told reporters at the Independence Day military parade rehearsal in downtown Kyiv on Friday, Censor.NETreports citing Interfax-Ukraine.

"The president of Ukraine, the supreme commander, will hand over more than 150 pieces of hardware in Chuhuiv. This equipment will be immediately tested at drills and delivered to the front line after that," Poltorak said.

"The equipment taking part in the parade rehearsal will also be taken to military units and detachments," the minister added.

As reported, Poroshenko handed over the members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine certificates for 170 units of manufactured, upgraded, and refurbished equipment at a military airfield in the city of Chuhuiv in Kharkiv region Aug. 22, 2015.
