 Poroshenko is certain Ukraine will be granted visa-free travel to EU in upcoming weeks

The head of state also believes that the country's foreign partners will soon provide financial assistance for Ukraine.

President Petro Poroshenko is certain the European Union will grant Ukraine visa-free travel in upcoming weeks, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

He said this during a visit to Peremoha metro station in Kharkiv.

"I am certain the European Union will make the decision in the near future. A few weeks remain before the "visa-free doors" to Europe open for Ukraine," he said.

The president is also confident that the country's Western partners will provide financial assistance to Ukraine in the near future.

Earlier, President of the European Council Donald Tusk positively assessed the process of implementation of visa-free travel between Ukraine and EU.
