Judge families are a widespread occurrence among Ukrainian servants of Themis. Public activists believe lifestyles of such families should be scrutinized and analyzed in detail.

One of such families with the last name Fazykosh from the Zakarpattia region became an object of investigation of PROSUD project, Censor.NET informs.

This is Anna Vasylivna Fazykosh, deputy head of Court of Appeal of the Zakarpattia region.

Anna's father Vasyl Heorhiiovych Fazykosh, former judge of the Zaporizhia and Zakarpattia regional courts, currently holds the post of chairman of civil law department of Uzhhorod University.

Anna's younger brother, Oleksii Vasyliovych Fazykosh, is also a judge at Uzhhorod district court of the Zakarpattia region.

Following her father, Anna became a judge of Uzhhorod district court of the Zakarpattia region in 2002, and in 2006 she became a judge of Court of Appeal of the Zakarpattia region where she is currently employed.

While her declared income is clear, Anna Fazykosh's property raises many more questions.

Judge Fazykosh owns a land plot of 10 ares and a 255-square meter house near Uzhhorod. She included it into her declaration, and this information was confirmed by State Land Cadaster and immovable property rights register.

Today, such house costs around $150,000.

On the same street, some 80 meters from the house, Judge Fazykosh's father's house is located. Vasyl Fazykosh, just like his daughter, has worked as a judge and a university teacher, so he had no possibility to conduct business or any other commercial activity.

The authors of the investigation note the need to conduct similar scrutiny for each of Ukrainian judges, not only from Kyiv, but from the regions as well. The activists promise to investigate into lifestyles of other judges as well, and to pass the information to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
