As reported by Censor.NET, this was stated by the ATO Staff press center in its situation report as at 6 a.m. Aug. 19.
According to the Staff, 38 attacks were recorded at Donetsk direction. Militants used Minsk-banned 152-mm artillery against Ukrainian positions in Troitske and Semyhiria, while Luhanske and Leninske came under 122-mm mortar attack. In the area of Toretske-Avdiivka, the enemy employed mortars, various types of grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. Occupants used an IFV in Novoselivka, Novhorodske, Luhanske and Verkhniotoretske and a tank in Troitske.
As also reported, 23 cases of cease-fire violation were registered at Maruipol direction: "Even before the dawn, Russian hybrid forces used 122-mm howitzer artillery to hit ATO troops' positions in Myrne. Marinka, Pavlopil and Krasnohorivka came under mortar and grenade launcher attack. Strong points in Novotroitske and Shyrokyne were hit with grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Terrorists employed armored vehicles near Shyrokyne, Marinka and Talakivka. The attack of an enemy subversive group was rebuffed in the vicinity of Bohdanivka. Sniper activity was recorded outside Novotroitske."
"In the Luhansk region, militants employed 122-mm artillery against Novozvanivka, Kalynove and Popasna. ATO forces' positions in Zolote were hit with 120-mm mortars and automatic grenade launchers. In Novooleksandrivka, Novotroitske, Popasna, Krymske and Zolote, the enemy mostly employed grenade launchers. Armed provocations in Stanytsia Luhanska involved the use of various types of grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Small arms were employed in Novozvanivka," the report reads.
As also noted, the enemy stepped up its aerial reconnaissance as seven UAV passes over Ukrainian positions were registered.
As previously reported, Aug. 17, Russian occupation troops committed 96 attacks against ATO forces.
