 Ukrainian military helicopter makes emergency landing in Donetsk region, - media. PHOTOS

A military helicopter made an emergency landing near the village of Raiske in the Donetsk region.

Censor.NET reports citing local DnL news outlet.

The accident took place Aug. 18 in the morning. The helicopter grazed power transmission line as it was flying extremely low. The power supply in the village was cut off due to the accident.

The reason for helicopter's emergency landing is yet unknown as well as the fate of the crew. The members of the military prosecutor's office who arrived at the scene told that the details would be unveiled only after the investigation.

It is also not known when the power supply to Raiske village will be restored. The utility men promised to deal with this problem by 11 p.m. today. However, they later said that there would be no power in the village at least until the next morning.

Later, ATO Staff spokesperson Iryna Baranova told Hromadske Radio that the accident inflicted no casualties. The helicopter sustained no damage as well. "In the simplest terms, the display showed some malfunction and the pilot decided to land the aircraft just in case. The equipment is being currently checked after which the helicopter will return to its permanent place of deployment," Baranova explained.
