The ex-official hit the wanted list over a theft indictment.

Former head of Ukraine's State Investment Agency set up during the presidency of Yanukovych, Vladyslav Kaskiv was detained on Thursday in Panama, Censor.NET reports referring to Ukrainska Pravda.

Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko announced it at today's briefing.

As previously reported, in 2012, Kaskiv signed a $1 billion contract with Spain's company Gas Natural on investment in a liquefied gas (LNG) terminal on Ukraine's Black Sea Coast. Later, the Spanish side stated it did not know the person who had signed the contract on its behalf. The man's name turned out to be Jordi Sarda Bonvehi, a ski instructor from the Barcelona region.
