The Russian Federation continues pursuing its plans of launching a full-scale armed aggression against Ukraine and seizing complete control of the country.

This is stated in a report of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Censor.NET reports.

The leadership of Russia's armed forces is trying to step up hostilities and artillery attacks in the occupied territory of Ukraine's east, reinforcing its 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation. To this end, additional military units manned sufficiently to form a new motorized brigade are being sent to the territory of Ukraine.

In order to conceal the whereabouts of the brigade, the anti-aircraft missile battalion of the 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Monastyrishche-2, Primorsky Krai), 5th Red Banner Army (Ussuriysk), the Eastern Military District of the Russian Federation has been deployed in the Donbas.

As established, the said battalion is comprised of 168 people, 21 pieces of military hardware and 30 vehicles. The personnel is represented only by contract officers and soldiers, including those transferred from other brigades of the 5th Army.

"We consider the redeployment of the anti-aircraft missile battalion of the 60th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade as a growing threat of air terrorism against all possible air targets, including civilian aircraft, taking into account the well-known terrorist act by the Russian Federation, which led to the crash of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17. The battalion has powerful state-of-the-art air defense systems Tor-M2U in service, being no less effective in combat than the Buk anti-aircraft missile system that was used by the Russian military to take down the passenger Boeing," the HUR stressed.
