"Last developments indicate NABU's work will be repeatedly obstructed," - MP Nayyem

Petro Poroshenko Bloc MP Mustafa Nayyem claims the actions of the Prosecutor General's Office against the National Anti-Corruption Bureau can be described as counter-revolutionary.

As reported by Censor.NET correspondent, Nayyem said it during a rally outside the building of the PGO that demanded a probe into the recent clash involving PGO employees and NABU special forces.

According to Nayyem, NABU's work is being impeded. The bureau is unable to conduct its own investigations and is forced to seek assistance from the PGO and the SBU, who tend to leak the information and gloss over cases.

Moreover, he noted that those who were once persecuting Lutsenko, Tymoshenko, Poroshenko and other people continue to hold posts in courts, the PGO, the Interior Ministry and the SBU.

"Today, instead of fighting against schemes and real criminals in power, Prosecutor General Lutsenko has unleashed a war against the country's first and only independent anti-corruption agency," Nayyem noted.

He is also outraged by the fact that Lutsenko has not yet made an official statement regarding the conflict and failed to spare the time to meet with NABU chief Sytnyk.
