 Russian militants committed heavy artillery and mortar strikes at Mariupol direction today, - Staff

The Russian-terrorist forces fired at the Ukrainian Army detachments 20 times today. The weapons banned by the Minsk accords were used in the majority of attacks.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.

The report reads: "The enemy was shelling our fortifications at Mariupol section of the front with heavy artillery until dawn. In particular, 55 projectiles (122-mm) hit the positions in Marinka and Novoselivka, another 20 projectiles (152-mm) - in Rybinsk. The enemy shelled Slavne and Lebedynske with 120-mm mortars as well as Chermalyk and Krasnohorivka with 82-mm mortars.

"The industrial area of Avdiivka at Donetsk direction kept being shelled with mortars and grenade launchers of various calibers and systems. The enemy employed 82-mm mortars against Verkhniotoretske and high-caliber machine guns against Luhanske.

"The Ukrainian troops' positions in Vrubivka village in the Luhansk region also came under fire of heavy 122-mm artillery today. The enemy sniper attacks and armed provocations with the use of small arms were recorded in Novooleksandrivka," the situation report reads.
