Censor.NET reports citing Yatseniuk's statement on Facebook.
It is noted that a number of issues was addressed at the meeting, including the security situation in the south and east of Ukraine, the key questions regarding the European integration, as well as major international challenges.
"I highly appreciate the clear stand of President Tusk regarding support of our country, its sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity. All efforts aimed at protection of the common European and democratic values as well as fundamental principles of international relations are of paramount importance today. During the conversation, I have declared my position which, I am sure, unites all national forces and the entire Ukraine: the protection of our freedom is the protection of the whole Europe," Yatseniuk wrote.
According to him, Russia has waged hybrid war not only against Ukraine but the European Union as well.
"All current actions of the Russian Federation, statements made by the Russian president, prime minister, and foreign minister and, most importantly, all the developments in the Ukrainian Crimea, Donetsk and Luhansk clearly indicate that Russia is not willing to fulfill Minsk [agreements], Russia is not willing to leave the territory of Ukraine, Russia is only ready for escalation. This means that the failure to follow Minsk [deal] entails the extension of the sanctions against the Russian Federation," the former prime minister stressed.
