Kholodnytskyi said on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports.
"Well, that is a question for the director of NABU, whose agency must take prompt action to establish his (Judge Chaus' - Ed.) whereabouts. Crimea is also Ukraine. He (Chaus - Ed.) could be in the territory of Ukraine or in Belarus. I cannot say where exactly he is," Kholodnytskyi said.
As reported, NABU Head Artem Sytnyk previously assured his agency knew Chaus' whereabouts. The Bureau expected the judge for questioning on Aug. 11 at noon. However, Chaus did not come to NABU to be served a notice of suspicion that day.The SAP intends to request the court to impose pretrial confinement on Judge Chaus with a bail equal to the amount of the bribe he was caught accepting.
Earlier, NABU detectives nabbed Judge of the Dniprovskyi district court of Kyiv Mykola Chaus who was extorting and obtained an unlawful benefit in the amount of $150,000.
Chaus previously tried Euromaidan activists, convicted former leader of UKROP party Hennadii Korban, and made judgments in favor of Yanukovych's ally Yurii Ivaniushchenko also known in criminal world as Yura Yenakievskyi.
