The Russian-terrorist forces attacked Ukrainian troops’ positions 18 times today in violation of the cease-fire deal.

Censor.NET reports citing the latest update by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) Staff press center.

The report reads: "The day began with an enemy artillery strike on Novoselivka at the Mariupol section of the front. The invaders employed 122-mm self-propelled guns against this village. The enemy violated truce by shelling Taramchuk, Talakivka and Vodiane with banned 120-mm and 82-mm mortars. Retaliation of the Shyrokyne village defenders was invited by attacks with small arms.

"A short skirmish took place in Bohdanivka at dawn: an enemy subversive and reconnaissance group employed under-barrel grenade launchers and small arms. The defenders of the ATO forces' strong point opened fire in response and forced the saboteurs to retreat.

"The enemy continued committing armed provocations in Avdiivka's industrial area at Donetsk section of the front line using mortars of various calibers. Defenders of Maiorsk were mortared thrice and shelled with grenade launchers. The enemy used small arms in Zaitseve and Nyzhnie Lozove villages.

"The enemy shelled positions in Novooleksandrivka, Novotroitske, and Zhovte in the Luhansk region, mainly with grenade launchers. Sniper attacks were also recorded in Novotroitske," the ATO Staff press center reported.
